The best way to protect your data is to not collect it in the first place. DressMatcher is designed around this principle. We collect the minimum amount of anonymous data needed to run and improve the service.
Anonymous analytics data (via Google Analytics) showing how people use the site in aggregate. Account information (name, email, birthday) is stored securely. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Anonymous analytics data shows how people use the site in aggregate.
If you upload inspiration photos, they are processed in memory to generate matches, stored temporarily for up to 60 seconds, and then permanently deleted. Photos are never shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than improving your immediate search results.
Saved dresses are stored securely with your account and sync across all your devices.
We don't share any data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes. Google Analytics receives anonymous usage data. When you click through to a retailer, your interaction with their site is governed by their data practices.
DressMatcher uses HTTPS encryption for all connections. All account data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
You have full rights to access, export, or delete your account data at any time from your account settings page. For GDPR or CCPA requests, email hello@dressmatcher.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
